Protein Production Facility, PPF
The facility provides support, introductory training and equipment for basic molecular biology operations i.e. cloning and expression covering E.coli, HEK293 and insect cells. Protein purification including several Äkta systems and state-of-art sample preparation facilities are provided (ultra centrifugation, crystallization robotics, and CryoEM grids).

Protein sample preparation is essential to a wide range of research projects. Members of the Protein and Peptide Discipline has preference to the facility, while other users from outside are welcomed to the extent that space is available.
The basic user fee for consumables/running costs is currently 3000 dkr. per month. If your need involves HEK293 or insect cell expression an additional cost of 2000 dkr. per month must be added. All user-signups involve a minimum binding period of 3 months.
